Seeing You, Seeing Me: Contemporary Portraiture (Manila Contemporary)

Project: Ratio(n) is an on-going study on various social interactions in Philippine Society. This preliminary work is a visual representation of a ratio of a certain group of people who wants to help and who needs help. I solicited used clothing from different people which were given out to those who needed them (beggars, street children, etc.) in exchange for the clothes that they were presently wearing. The resulting work is a diptych composed of a lighted portrait of the donors and the collected clothing from the people in the streets. The ratio is 64 is to 31.
